Toomey Leasing Renews RAF Typhoon Display Team Sponsorship for 2016!
The UK’s largest independent provider of vehicle fleet and leasing solutions, Toomey Leasing Group has renewed its sponsorship of the RAF Typhoon Display Team for the fourth year in a row. To honour the event, Toomey Leasing will present the team (led by Flight Lieutenant Mark Long) at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, with a brand new Audi Q7 to support them at PR events, aerobatic display days, charity events and more!
The RAF Typhoon Display Team consists of a dedicated group of professionals who are hand-picked to represent the very best in skill and expertise that the Royal Air Force can offer. The team protects the interests of the United Kingdom and its overseas territories via the Ministry of Defence (MoD), as well as providing aerobatic displays across the UK on a regular basis, providing entertainment and amazement to thousands and raising money for charities such as RAFA (www.rafa.org.uk), which provides welfare support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their dependants, and Fly2Help (www.fly2help.org) which is an aviation charity which inspires positive change through the wonder of flight.
In recent years, Toomey Leasing has presented the RAF Typhoon Display Team with a variety of vehicles, supporting their cause and building on the relationship between the two organisations.
Following the presentation of the superb Audi Q7 luxury crossover SUV, Sales Director, Alex Butcher said:

The RAF Typhoon Display Team
The RAF’s Typhoon Display Team is based at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire and is made up of personnel from 29(R) Squadron. It includes a pilot and ground personnel handpicked from an elite cadre based at Coningsby, who operate a programme of displays from May until September up and down the country. The team display pilot for 2016 Flight Lieutenant Ryan Lawton.
The Eurofighter Typhoon is the result of a collaboration between four European nations: UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. The consortium which develops and manufactures the fighter is made up of defence firms BAE Systems, Alenia Aermacchi and Airbus Defence & Space.
The Eurofighter Typhoon is one of the world’s top fighter aircraft and can reach a top speed of Mach 2 (1,320 mph). It first came into service in 2003 and is now used by a number of air forces throughout the world.
